Anushka was first seen as a model in the year 2017 in Wendell Rodricks Les Vamps Show in Lakme Fashion Week. He selected her to be his finale model of the 2007 Spring/Summer Collection. Anushka Sharma has participated in several brand campaigns since she made her Lakme Fashion Week debut. These include campaigns in the name of Fiat Palio and Fiat Whisper Nathella Jewelry. Anushka began giving film auditions alongside her modelling. Anushka Sharma's first acting role was in the movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi featuring Shah Rukh Khan. As a screen test for her, she refused to perform the test in a hurry and instead spent one day to get ready. Then, she signed on for three films together with Yash Raj Films. She was the wife of a young man of an older man in the film (the the same role Shah Rukh Khan played). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka appeared along with Shahid Kapoor and Vir Das Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das and Meiyang Chang in the 2010 movie "Badmash Company". The film received mixed reviews. Anushka Sharma was the lead in the same movie "Band Baaja Baraat. The actress played the role of a Punjabi woman of middle class, who has her own wedding business. It received a favourable review, and was considered to be a surprise and a huge success. Anushka completed her three-film deal with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baaraat.
